ABOUT KELLY

If you know Kelly Huffstetler, you won’t be surprised that at age 10 she became interested in public policy and was known to hold regular policy discussions with her teachers and parents. Years later, after an undergrad degree from Radford and a Master of Public Administration degree from NC State, she went to work in the public sector, first at NC Department of Commerce, then fiscal analyst for the NC Legislature, and later Director of Economic Development for the University of North Carolina system. After 10 years she decided to turn her analytical skills in a new direction and put them to work for real estate clients.

She may or may not be a little obsessed with GPS Drive on her iPhone, specifically the estimated arrival times feature. She’s been known to challenge her GPS by taking a different route in an attempt to shave off travel time and beat the device.

She loves to begin Saturday mornings whipping together scratch-made pancakes for her family before heading out to meet clients. When there is time, she also likes to replicate some favorite restaurant dishes. (Case in point is her incredible crab bisque.)

A rare treat for Kelly is time enough to read the Wall Street Journal cover to cover. About this her co-workers tease her mercilessly, but fortunately enough clients totally dig- we think.
