Frequently Asked Questions

At Relevate, we believe in giving agents the flexibility to work in whatever way helps them be most successful. There is no requirement to come into the office on a regular basis. In fact, you can be just as successful as our top producers while rarely, if ever, working from the office.

We do, however, hold six full-company events each year, and we strongly encourage everyone to make attending these a priority.

Four of these events focus on the key fundamentals of our business model—the skills, systems, and processes that help our agents become more successful. For example, recent events have focused on:

  • Growing your sphere of influence: How to build relationships with more quality people who can become sources of referrals.
  • Winning listings and pricing homes correctly: How to help sellers understand the importance of pricing their homes properly so they sell quickly and for the best possible price.
  • Working effectively with our licensed support team: How to get the highest-quality results from our support services while keeping costs as low as possible.

The other two events are focused on team building—giving everyone an opportunity to get to know each other better, strengthen relationships, and simply have fun together.

Outside of these six events, how often you come into the office is entirely up to you. Many of our top producers work almost exclusively from home or wherever they prefer. Some I see only about once a month, and others I might not see for three to six months, apart from our company events.

That said, especially when you're first getting started at Relevate, spending more time in the office can be extremely valuable.

We offer frequent in-person training, group mentoring, and opportunities to learn directly from other successful agents. We also have groups of agents who regularly get together several times a week to work on building their businesses.

For example, agents will gather around a table to write personal notes to people in their spheres of influence, then move into separate rooms to make their relationship-building calls. They find that setting aside this time to work alongside one another creates energy, builds accountability, and gives them opportunities to learn from each other.

One thing we've consistently observed is that our most motivated and successful agents tend to build strong relationships with one another. They share ideas, encourage each other, learn from each other's experiences, and help each other improve.

We also provide extensive coaching and mentoring, both in person and virtually, so you can get the guidance and support you need regardless of where you choose to work.

The bottom line: At Relevate, you have the freedom to work from wherever you want. We don't believe that requiring agents to sit in an office makes them successful. But we do believe that learning from one another, building relationships, and surrounding yourself with motivated, successful people can make an enormous difference—especially as you're building your business.

We make those opportunities available frequently, and we encourage you to take full advantage of them.

The right person for Relevate is, first and foremost, a true professional. They honor every commitment they make, including showing up on time for every meeting and phone call. They dress professionally, typically two levels above what the situation requires, and they are committed to studying, learning, and developing the knowledge and skills necessary to become an exceptionally competent real estate agent.

They are ambitious and want to build a highly successful, full-time real estate career. Even if they currently have another source of income, their goal is to make a smart transition into full-time real estate as soon as practical. They want to have it all: a high income of $200,000 or more per year, exceptional client relationships, professional fulfillment, and a great work-life balance.

They recognize that success doesn't require reinventing the wheel. Rather than building their own systems from scratch, they want to follow a proven process that has already produced outstanding results. They are willing and able to follow that process consistently, while remaining open-minded about learning smarter, more effective ways to do things.

They are humble, coachable, and committed to continuous improvement. They recognize that no matter how successful they become, there will always be better ways to serve clients, earn more income, and improve their quality of life. They value collaboration and enjoy building relationships with other ambitious, motivated professionals who challenge, support, and inspire one another. They are also genuinely grateful for the good things in their lives and approach both their work and their relationships with a positive, appreciative attitude.

Who Is Not the Right Fit for Relevate?

Relevate is not the right environment for someone who wants to sell only a few homes each year or intends to maintain another full-time career indefinitely. We are looking for agents who are serious about building substantial, long-term real estate businesses.

It is also not a fit for agents who believe they already know the best way to practice real estate and are unwilling to learn or follow new approaches. Someone who feels compelled to create their own systems rather than embrace a proven process will likely be happier elsewhere.

Agents who are willing to offer clients rebates or discounts on their compensation are also not aligned with our approach. We believe in delivering exceptional value through professional expertise and outstanding service rather than competing by discounting fees.

Relevate is also not a fit for agents who feel they need to build a separate company identity around their own logos, company names, or color schemes. We are fully committed to making each agent's own name and face highly recognizable in their market. That is the personal brand that matters. Adding separate company branding is unnecessary and can confuse consumers rather than strengthen the agent's identity.

Finally, Relevate is not designed for agents whose primary passion is recruiting, supervising, or managing other people. Our model is built to help ambitious agents become extraordinarily successful at serving clients and growing their own businesses without having to build or manage a team of employees or other agents.

Ultimately, Relevate is for ambitious, professional, humble, and coachable agents who want to achieve exceptional income and quality of life by following a proven system, continually improving their skills, and surrounding themselves with other high-performing professionals.
