John Carter

John is a rare North Carolina native! He spent the majority of his childhoold in Fayetteville, NC and has lived in Raleigh for the past 34 years. His in-depth knowledge of the local North Carolina markets have paid dividends in his ability to help his clients find the perfect home to fit their lifestyle and needs. John’s client’s rave about his relational style. He regularly receives appreciation for being a partner and an advocate, and making sure his clients feel well taken care of. He understands how stressful real estate transactions can be, and prides himself on giving special attention to everyone he works with.

John has a myriad of interests, including bird photography, travel, golf, acting, and sports (especially hockey!). His career experience is just as diverse. He has worked for the NCDOT, owned and operated a photography and video production company, served as an insurance agent, and even worked as a radio DJ. His ability to build relationships and navigate new situations have allowed him to seamlessly pick up numerous vocations, and engage a wide array of hobbies.

John lives with his wife Barbara, and they have two grown children and two grandchildren! When he is not busy taking care of his clients or engaging in any of his favorite pastimes, you can find him supporting missions through his church, supporting the Cancer Society, working with the National Inclusion Project, or serving on the advisory board for Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
