We moved here in October 1991 from Jacksonville, Florida, to start a ministry to the business community. Of three places we scouted to bring the ministry, the businessmen in Raleigh asked when we could start. The other places weren’t as open.
Our advice to newcomers is to take your time to find a place to live and trust a person to guide you to the right area. When we first moved here, we didn’t have anyone we knew to help us with the area. So we rented an apartment for six months to figure out which community we wanted to live in, which church we wanted to be part of, and which schools we wanted our kids to attend.
We are the Triangle Area Directors of the Cru High School ministry. We help high school students develop as spiritual leaders. Through our partnership with local churches and the college part of Cru, we equip volunteers to develop relationships with high school students and model for them how to live the Christian life. If you have a high school student who would like to find out how they can be involved please contact us. We would love to meet with you and your child.
Our favorite thing to do in the Triangle is Thursday night beach music at North Hills, a fun thing to do each week through the summer. We love this area for the changing seasons, beautiful countryside, and many sporting events and educational opportunities available through the great universities. Our favorite restaurant is Chuy’s, a Mexican restaurant in North Hills.
