I first moved to the Triangle in 1987 to attend NCSU. In 1992, I moved back to Raleigh after transferring to Charlotte for a few years. It is a great place to live. The location is wonderful, only two hours to the beach and three hours to the Mountains. We have everything here: DPAC in Durham, two recreational lakes, Umstead Park, PNC Arena, The Hurricanes, top rated restaurants like The Angus Barn, and so many museums. There are just so many fun things to do. Every weekend you can find something going on. Plus you get to experience all four seasons!
My advice for newcomers is to reassure them that they will get lost at first, but give it time and they will feel right at home. Just take the time, explore things, and have fun.
I began Wilson Property Management in 1989, with the concept: property management with a personal touch. We are a full service management company that looks after your investment home. We have in-house maintenance services that are available 24 hours a day. Our goal is to be the best management company in the area by offering management services to townhomes, condos, houses, and HOAs. If you’re preparing to relocate to North Carolina, let us help you find the perfect transition home while you’re getting to know the area.
My top tip for success is to love what you do and give it your all. My favorite thing to do in the Triangle is to go see the Hurricanes play at the PNC Arena. My favorite restaurant is El Rey’s in Cary. I also enjoy grabbing a drink in the Wild Turkey Lounge at the Angus Barn.
