I love buying older, dated homes in the Raleigh area and turning them in to something new and modern. Most people know this as house flipping. But this is not just for profit. It is a passion. Seeing the transformation and being a part of it inspires me. I love the opportunity to look through the old and worn out and imagine what it could be. Then planning out the changes and watching it happen before your eyes. It is not an easy process and certainly not a quick one. But every time I complete a house flip, I am amazed.
This project started several months ago. It has been a combined effort between me and devoted contractors working together to turn a date 1965’s ranch into a comfortable, modern dream house. I have always enjoyed the challenge of transforming a house and this flipping project did not disappoint. I know that you will love seeing the before and after pictures below. I think the kitchen transformation is especially eye-catching. This ranch was built in 1965 and has approximately 3,000 square feet, It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a basement. There is a fifth room that could be used as a bedroom, but no closet. It can be found on the Hunter Rowe website MLS# 1961927 listed at $259,900.

Starting with the exterior of the home, we tore out the old landscaping and replaced it with new plants and shrubs. We also added a brand new roof. The darker color of the shingles and the bright white trim really makes the house pop. Such great curb appeal!

In the kitchen we essentially gutted it. We tore out the kitchen cabinets, a fireplace, the counter tops and cabinets. All of the appliances are new including the cooktop seen in the above photo. You will fall in love with the espresso cabinets with the modern pulls. And lots of granite! A must in today’s market. And the new hard wood floors shine and reflect the rich luxury of this kitchen.
