Jed and I took the opportunity to go to Kenya, Africa last year on a missions trip to learn more about the organization Uhuru Child. (Swahili for “Freedom Child”). The mission of the ministry is to build relationships with the Kenyan people by providing education for the children and employment for the adults through social businesses in order to help free them from the bondage of slavery. We have stayed involved since we returned home and plan to go again this year.
