I moved to the Triangle in 2000 to go to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My advice to newcomers is to look at Raleigh as a metropolitan city dropped into a forest. There are fun places to discover in all three cities of the Triangle. Never eat at the same place twice and explore all three cities.

I am the Spiritual Formation Pastor at The Summit Church and I oversee all Adult Discipleship Ministries. Summit has a simple mission to “Love God, Love Others, and Love the World.” Summit is intentionally driven to reach Raleigh-Durham with locations strategically placed throughout the Triangle. Our goal is to have two gatherings – corporately on the weekend and small groups during the week. This is to help grow and establish community within the church. We hold weekend worship services in English and Spanish on Saturday and Sundays. Summit also has great children and student ministries for all ages.

Check out our website to find the closest location to you at www.summitrdu.com.

My top success tip is to leverage peoples’ networks and don’t underestimate the power of social media as a catalyst to grow your network. My favorite thing to do in the Triangle is to go to a UNC basketball game or a Durham Bulls game with the family.
