Why is Relevate Real Estate Named Relevate Real Estate?

You might be wondering, why the heck is Relevate Real Estate named Relevate? Where did that word come from, and is it even a real word? What does it mean, and why would that be the name of a real estate brokerage? Those are all excellent questions! Keep reading for the answers 🙂

In this article, I’m going to explain why we are named Relevate. By the end of this article, I think you’ll say “Okay, I get it, that’s really pretty cool.” And if our values, as expressed in our name, connect with YOUR values we’d like to get to know you too 🙂

Relevate is DIFFERENT from all the other real estate brokerages that do business in the traditional way, and our name communicates that.

Relevate is a combination of words:

First, Relevate is “Relationships Elevated”. Focusing on relationships instead of transactions is the #1 way we work smarter. We work almost 100% by referral not only because we truly value the long term relationships that happen when we keep in touch with our clients, but ALSO because when one of our clients’ friends, or family member or neighbor or co-worker needs to buy or sell a home, they need a referral to a realtor they can really trust to help them. Listen, when you work by referral, there’s no place to hide: when a client puts their reputation on the line to refer you, you’ll go to the end of the earth to make sure they’re not disappointed. So there is a ton of accountability when you work by referral… And we love that. It’s super motivating to do a great job to confirm for your client that their trust was well-placed.

Also, Relevate is “Real Estate Elevated”. Look, I’m a process improvement engineer. Before I got into real estate I owned a operations research consulting firm and wrote books about process improvement. I got into real estate because I thought there was a TON of opportunity to improve how brokerages serve both agents and clients. And boy I will tell you, we have stirred things up. From inventing analytical methods to calculate exactly how sellers can not only maximize their sales price but make extra profit from smart improvement, to top secret methods to get buyers into homes before anyone else sees them, to an entirely new kind of support team for our agents so they can do an even better job for their clients…we’ve already revolutionized every part of real estate… And we’re just getting started.

Finally, if you look up the the word Relevate, you’ll find it is an ACTION VERB meaning to raise, to relieve, and especially to restore to good spirits.

This definition perfectly communicates what we are about at our core, the core value of Relevate Real Estate. Too many amazing real estate agents get burned out from trying to do everything themselves. As a result, they are either working themselves to death, or not achieving the big goals they had for themselves when then started in this wonderful business. Our mission is to RELIEVE these agents by providing them with the innovative and unequaled systems and support they need, to RESTORE them and their dreams TO GOOD SPIRITS, and as a result RAISE the residential real estate industry to a new level of quality and professionalism.
