I moved to the Triangle in 1988 with dreams of starting my own business in Raleigh. Besides the great business atmosphere, the Triangle is a great place to live particularly if you have a family. Being two hours from the beach and two hours from the mountains, it gives you tons of options when it comes time to plan the family vacation.
My advice for newcomers is to walk around. You see so much more of the city when you leave your car behind.

My top tip for success is to lead by example and practice what you preach. My favorite things to do in the Triangle are to go downtown for First Friday and take walks on the Capital Area Greenways. My favorite restaurant is Bella Monica in Raleigh for a gourmet pizza.
