I moved to Durham in 1998 as a community newspaper photojournalist working for The (Durham) Herald-Sun. I call the Triangle home, especially Durham. My advice is to not listen to people that bash other area towns or cities. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. I would live in any Triangle town; however I chose to stay in Durham because it has allowed me great access to the entire Triangle business community. You will need to find the community that is right for YOU!

Kevin Seifert Photography offers private, corporate, and editorial photography focusing on moment driven artwork. I enjoy exploring diversity and cultures, including religious rites-of-passage and corporate storytelling. I hope new residents to the Triangle will contact me regarding family and business photography services as a trusted referral partner with Hunter Rowe.

My top tip for success is to have a fast response to inquiries and promptly calling referrals. People appreciate responsiveness and accountability. My favorite thing to do in the Triangle is the beer scene. We have three great breweries in Durham and we are approaching 20 in the greater Triangle area from Apex to Wake Forest. If I can combine that with networking, it is even better. I have several favorite restaurants! Dulce Café is a little coffee shop in Sutton Station in South Durham with incredible desserts, panini sandwiches, and mochas. For a quick, cheap lunch, I head to Chubby’s Tacos. For a delicious Texas-style BBQ, it’s The Original Q-Shack. Sitar Indian, Thai Café, and Momoyama are great date places for me and the Mrs.
