Michelle was born and reared in Topsail Beach, NC where her family owned and operated a fishing pier, marina and restaurant. Her grandfather and mother sold and developed real estate in the Topsail area, while her father was involved in local politics. Michelle moved to Raleigh in 1991 to attend Saint Mary’s, and finished at Meredith College with a BS in Child Development. Her previous careers have included teaching, youth ministry, job and social skills training for mentally and physically handicapped, and of course, real estate.
