After a couple of years living in a shoebox in Manhattan, my husband and I decided we wanted a little more space, a change of pace, and possibly a munchkin or two in the not-too-far-off future. He grew up in Southern Pines and we are both UNC alumni, so the Triangle was a natural and very attractive option for both of us. If you are new to the Triangle, get out and get to know ALL the amazing cities and towns our area has to offer! Take advantage of the great restaurants, the Greenways, the charming small towns, and the beach and mountains which are both relatively close by!

I am anchor on WNCN Today on WNCN (local NBC affiliate); “We are community champions who empower smarter thinking.” WNCN is proud to serve Raleigh, Durham, Fayetteville and surrounding areas with local news, weather and – my personal favorite – traffic. We also offer a variety of ways to keep informed online and via mobile devices. In addition to being the local NBC network affiliate, WNCN is also home to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Judge Judy and locally-produced My Carolina Today. Tune in from 5-7 am every weekday morning and at 6, 7, and 11 every night! Join us weekday mornings starting at 5 am for WNCN Today; we have a great time empowering our viewers to step out of their door feeling smart, connected, and proud to live in this beautiful area of the country.

My top tip for success is to do the right thing just because it’s the right thing to do. My favorite thing to do in the Triangle is tied between playing at local parks with my family and cheering on the Tar Heels! My favorite restaurants are Cowfish, Sunny’s Diner, Lantern, Blue Mango, Sitti… all for different reasons.
